LEARNING EXCHANGE RESIDENCIES

Between October 2023 and March 2024 Paviljoen aan het Water, in Rotterdam South, will bring several artists and makers based in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) to Rotterdam (NL).

The aim of the Learning Exchange Residencies was to build a cultural program that creates opportunities for learning and connection across the two cities.

We offered time, space and resource, to build new connections between two cities, offering the potential for collaboration and co-learning.

“Learning Exchange Residencies occurs in a post-pandemic, post-brexit atmosphere where artists face increasing barriers for traveling and connecting with other creative communities. In situating artists within the port of Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe, the Paviljoen plays host to questions around community and globality while making space for alternative ways of living and gathering to be explored.”
